About
Welcome to EATiME, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Leeds, specifically located in the Merrion Shopping Centre. This establishment has quickly gained a reputation for serving authentic Cantonese cuisine that resonates well with both locals and visitors. With a commitment to quality and tradition, EATiME showcases classic dishes that remind many of their culinary adventures in Hong Kong and Singapore.
As I stepped into EATiME, I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by the friendly service. The menu is a treasure trove of Cantonese favorites, making it difficult to choose what to indulge in first. The standout dishes, as echoed by regular patrons like Emma Chen and Loi Mach, include the delightful flat rice noodle soup and the scrumptious scrambled eggs with prawns and char siu. These dishes encapsulate the essence of comfort food, with robust flavors and generous portions that far exceed expectations.
One of the highlights of EATiME is the praised 3 meat rice, recommended for newcomers looking to dive into the rich tapestry of flavors that Cantonese cuisine has to offer. It comes as no surprise that many customers, like Jake, appreciate the classic comfort food experience, where every bite tells a story. The meticulous preparation ensures that the meats are juicy and flavorful, a sentiment echoed by Agnes Wong, who emphasizes that ordering directly from the store not only offers cost savings but also a chance to enjoy the warm hospitality of the staff.
Among the unique offerings, the Pork Belly Crispy with fried rice deserves a special mention—it’s a true representation of culinary craftsmanship that leaves a lasting impression.
If you’re in Leeds and on the hunt for a place that delivers both authenticity and a sense of community, EATiME is the spot to visit. With quick service, a clean environment, and a menu that promises to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters, EATiME is not just a meal; it’s an experience worth savoring.
“ Super nice authentic Chinese rotisseries. My third time here, flat rice noodles soup and Scrambled Eggs rice with Prawns & Char Siu are my favourite so far. Worth of money! quick service and clean area. ”
“ Honestly this is our favourite Cantonese eatery in Leeds! We’re firm regulars. With experience of eating in Hong Kong & Singapore, this is by far the closest thing to the Asian cuisine in Leeds. We recommend the 3 meat rice for newbies ”
“ Love this place, classic Cantonese comfort food. Massive portions and friendly service, can't go wrong if you cannot decide what to have for lunch / dinner. ”
“ Portion is big, meats are very juicy and flavourful I ordered from a delivery app but would recommend ordering from the store as it’s cheaper, the staff there are quite friendly as well ”
“ We tried the Pork Belly Crispy with fried rice and loved it. Great customer service too! Definitely going to be a regular. ”
“ I tried the three meat combo with roast duck, crispy pork belly, and char siu. The flavors were fantastic! The roast duck was juicy with crispy skin, the crispy pork belly had the perfect crunch, and the char siu was tender and sweet. It's definitely a satisfying meal. I highly recommend this place for great roast meat! However, they only accept cash for orders under 11, which isn't very convenient. ”
“ This Cantonese barbecue restaurant has excellent food. I recommend the Cantonese roast duck rice or roast goose fried noodles, both are very delicious. Other dishes include pork chop with scrambled egg and barbecued pork with scrambled egg with rice, both of which are not to be missed. Of course, there are other delicious dishes. The waiter's attitude is very good, which is commendable. I recommend it. ”
“ Excellent, and I mean excellent cantonese style roast meat eatery. Might be the best I've had in Leeds so far, better than Noodle House and Maxi's (now in Kirkgate). Prices are affordable and portions generous. The roast duck in particular was superb -- a light crunchy skin over a layer of melting fat and succulent meat. Ed: I had the roast meats with plain rice. I can't comment on the noodles cuz I didn't eat them ”
